TISSUE Magazine Mixtape 31 by Jonas
Struggling to cope with a sexual trauma and the daily aggressions of a male-dominated society, Amy creates grotesquely costumed alter egos that re-appropriate the male form. While regaining strength from this habit she is slowly drifting into a world of her own making. When she starts a relationship with a seemingly good guy, her alter egos lash out in extreme violence. Without pointing a finger at rape culture, Felt provides an intimate insight into contemporary debates in feminism.
Cologne-based label Magazine celebrates its fifth birthday in the context of the exhibition Plattform Aachen: Perspective 02. It started Saturday, December 5, at the sacred grounds of Ludwig Forum Aachen where electronic pioneers Kraftwerk performed forty years prior.

When Barnt isn’t having his tracks played at Chanel fashion shows – as happened with his dance floor stomper Geffen – he and his friends Jens-Uwe Beyer and Crato run the record label Magazine. A record label with such strong visuals, their disc covers are better than ketamine. No wonder they were picked up by book project Public Folder. And that’s just something (techno, buzz, books) we couldn’t resist for TISSUE N°3!
The Ludwig Forum in Aachen shows the total work of art of the label from December 5 till March 13, 2016. In this context Beyer released MAGAZINE 12 and the three founders gave their debut concert as MAGAZINE.

Our Berlin-based columnist Zsu Szabó returns from her parental leave with Sucht und Ordnung N°3. While other mommies ponder about the most convenient baby buggy, Zsu is rather interested in metaphorical coffins for grown-ups. So great to have you back!

For Intimate Matter / An Algorithmic Privacy Balz Isler asked friends and other artists to send him private pictures. He collected them in order to perform a conceptual image editing process that conceals the person’s actions and their personal and objective evidence in the photos. Isler defined an area in each of these digital images to be replaced or covered by the computer: http://bit.ly/tissue_balz-isler
