“HOFFNUNGSLOS” T 2021
It’s hopeless. 無望
The versatile works of Kiev-based artist Sasha Kurmaz range from photography over paintings to objects. Kurmaz manages to capture random but precious moments, fragments of life where form and content go hand in hand. Being a photographer, painter, sculptor and maybe even a political activist, his multimedia approach is what made him the perfect choice for the cover and a big-time feature in TISSUE N°4.
For the exhibition Talents 38. Method at C/O Berlin curated by Ann-Christin Bertrand, Sasha Kurmaz will expand actions and interventions not only to the whole Amerika-Haus but also to the public space.

These photos were taken during Zsu’s most formative journey under very uncomfortable conditions. For the fifth part of her series she remembers this horrible-wonderful journey wishing to start on it again with a little bit more dignity.
