Benjamin Brunn has made this month’s perfectly positive mixtape for us. It is called “Music for Good Times and Bad Times”. A pretty good name for these joyful 60 minutes of exclusive ambient music that will hopefully make you smile.
This mix is a serious treat! Actually a premiere since It only consists of unrealeased material, and can be regarded as the successor of Benjamin Brunn’s ambient album 28.10.2012 Live at Golden Pudel released on Pudel Produkte. On top of this, this production is also dedicated to Uwe, the founder and editor of Tissue Magazine, which always makes him blush at minute 30.34 when his name is repeatedly outspoken as a soft hypnotic mantra fitting to the underlaying atmospheric music.
Throughout the tape is very atmospheric and balanced. As Brunn perfectly puts it: ”Atmosphere is necessary and makes life possible, without atmosphere we couldn’t breathe. Music also needs this in order to be alive and to make people feel alive”. Almost like an epiphany, this does not only make you feel alive, combined with playful synths all over, this mix makes you light and happy. Music for good times and for bad times. Remember this when needed.
