TISSUE Magazine Mixtape 11
by CRATO

Dear reader, this is sort of a listening track mixtape. But not in that funky DJ Koze way, more in that shut-up-listen-and-learn way. Learn something about the more specific state of electronic music in 2013 and learn something about the musical mind of CRATO who actually gave this mixtape the title “6.7.1998”.

CRATO is one of the three heads behind MAGAZINE from Cologne (@magazine-records). This very demanding and prolific music label run by Jens-Uwe Beyer, Barnt and CRATO is also known for its highly visual approach with special limited editions. Every single release is another piece of art. Their first ten records paid respect to the contemporary electronic music tradition of the German Rhineland. From their 11th release on they will switch their musical as well as their visual concept. Fans, stay keen till MAGAZINE’S next release on JULY 29th by WASSERMANN.

Another fine piece of craftsmanship these renaissance men publish is their mono thematic book project PUBLIC FOLDER. There is a very special edition on the way. We are really looking forward to the publication based on the visual aspect of the Voyager Golden Record. It will be released this Autumn/Winter. Yes, exactly, that fine golden disc they put outside the voyager with all the information imprinted intelligent extraterrestrial life needs to know about human mankind on Earth. Don’t worry if the search takes a bit longer — the durability of the disc in space is at least 1 billion years.
