TISSSUE Magazine Mixtape 42
by JASSS

The most coolest thing that ever happened to TISSUE is this mixtape. JASSS does not only feel good to say, JASSS made this thrilling mix that is impossible to be prepared for. It can not easily be put into a box, yet it sounds familiar as it touches upon different genres and cultural themes.

JASSS picked every track for this mix called Mix of Habits during one day. “These tracks area a quite accurate representation of my state of mind that day, which was not a special date at all”, she adds. Nonetheless it seems very special for the listener. She creates an intense and natural flow between very different moods and sounds. You might not feel exactly like JASSS did while recording – but you might feel her, as you yourself travel through the various and sensuous sounds that are sometimes scary, sometimes funny, sometimes something else.

In January, JASSS released her debut EP Caja Negra via Dutch label Anunnaki Cartel. For Berlin-based Mannequin Records she delivered a dynamic and powerful follow-up EP called Mother in September. From dark melancholic sounds to tribal or folk music back to electronic music. This addictive mixtape is no doubt a very individual experience that we don’t really think you want to miss out on. We are very proud to add this special selection to our long-time continuous mixtape series.
