What immediately drew us to Nick Hadad‘s story was an unusual mysteriousness that emanates from his model, the wonderful Sara Cummings. Her expressive appearance is particularly enhanced by the Brooklyn-based photographer’s technique of shooting his objects from the perspective of a third person, a passerby. Using a couple of different mediums, Hadad allows the people depicted to be free and act how they want in front of the camera. “I like to focus mostly on the mood and the subject. I don’t like to put too much emphasis on how the subject is posed or what they are doing, rather subtleties and mannerisms.
