Cologne-based label Magazine celebrates its fifth birthday in the context of the exhibition Plattform Aachen: Perspective 02. It started Saturday, December 5, at the sacred grounds of Ludwig Forum Aachen where electronic pioneers Kraftwerk performed forty years prior. Edition inserts from the first five years hang from the walls along large format flags, designed in the spirit of Magazine’s gray period. Specially designed glass tables are linked to the artworks of the first ten of the label’s releases.

The opening event saw a concert and debut live performance by founders Barnt, Crato and Jens-Uwe Beyer and the release of the latter’s MAGAZINE 12. The exhibition shows the artistic aspect of the label itself, provides space for their unique and appealing aesthetics and displays Magazine as an artistic synthesis of music, design and art.
