Women’s legs, iridescent tights and what appears to be blue-painted salt dough figures are the ingredients to Roman Schramm‘s leg series. A monochromatic grey surface and your regular Photoshop drop shadow round off the absurd composition. Incorporating psychology, sculpture and various graphic programs, Schramm’s acclaimed multidisciplinary approach can be seen at many prestigious institutions in Germany. Most recently at the KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin, including parts of Satellite City which was featured in TISSUE N°5.
Schramm’s solo exhibition with Kunsthaus Jesteburg in Hamburg starts tomorrow, October 20 at Barlach Halle K, featuring three-dimensional visual compositions and large format works. Find more information below.
