THOMAS BAYRLE, FEUER IM WEIZEN
For last year’s documenta 13, THOMAS BAYRLE installed the remnants of an industrial age in the exhibition’s main hall — very hard, very cold, still pretty sexual. For TISSUE N°3, we chose one of his older, more frivolous works, Feuer im Weizen. Same goes for our home office. Melanie just had to buy one of his cheeky graphics from the Antiquariat around the corner after walking past it for months. Be sure to visit his solo show All-In-One at the Wiels in Brussels these days.

As we promised in TISSUE N°3, here you’ll find all 10 pussies shot and groomed by talented FEE ROMERO of LA ROQUETTE in big size for your personal inspiration, girls.
The task she set herself was simple: ten women, ten vaginas, ten colours. Talented hair and makeup artist, FEE ROMERO (who is also our cover model), did some qualitative research and brought back with her this colourful potpourri of pussy, plus lots of female wisdom. Her main insight? “All cunts are beautiful.” But they all look even better with their hair on!

Dear friends,
we are very happy to announce that the freshly printed copies of TISSUE N°3 arrived at our headquarter in Hamburg on Tuesday. Halleluja, the magazine looks — and feels — so good. 132 pages of pure inspriation — tits and ass and things related, coming together
in a colourful eruption.
We immediately started the distribution to our partners and retailers. The magazine will be available in Germany and several online shops from February 19th. For Japan, Europe and North America allow us some more days — the magazines are on their way.
The presentation of TISSUE N°3 will now be held on FEB 26th in Berlin at our big sister 032c’s place. Please save the date, we hope to meet you all up there and celebrate that filthy thing with us.

Peace.

WALTER DAHN
From Mülheimer Freiheit to Junge Wilde, German art-Urgestein Walter Dahn continues to do whatever he wants (‘Sie machen was sie wollen’ was the title of an early exhibition). Try to enroll at HBK in Braunschweig if you want to be taught by Beuys’ former Meisterschüler.
Here’s a series of photographs by Walter Dahn as published in TISSUE N°2.

MARTIN EDER X TISSUE MAGAZINE POSTER EDITION
Many of you know Martin Eder’s poster as a supplement to TISSUE N°2. We saved 30 untouched copies to have them silk-screened by hand (with special lacquer) and then let Martin Eder blow on his glitter.
Purchase your poster for 199,– € plus postage and packaging via issue@tissuemagazine.com
(Clever dicks will recognize that there are only 27 pieces hanging on the wall. That’s because Mr. Eder kept N°28 till N°30 for himself after signing them.)

We here at TISSUE are rather sad that Manzine, our favorite ”publication on the male phenomenon”, has come to a halt after only five issues. This lovingly put together magazine is everything that your regular newsstand lad mag is not: intelligent, very niche-y and equipped with a tone of voice that makes you want to buy your new best mate another pint. And that’s a huge part of its appeal: it’s so full of British idiosyncrasies it made us realize once again – as readers from continental Europe – why the Brits still consider the English channel at least as much of a divide as the Atlantic.
It’s not all Scotch Eggs and certain Surrey stereotypes though: Manzine’s editor, Kevin Braddock, is based in Berlin (he’s now editing the all new Sleek magazine), which is also why there’s the odd piece on Berlin culture and new Germanisms (“Wohlgefühl”) sprinkled through its issues. But then: who cares? Manzine is a good read and you should really try and get your hands on all its back issues (they’re pretty much sold out).
After these red-hot confessions it comes to no surprise that Manzine’s contribution to the current issue of TISSUE still makes us weak at the knees. In true Manzine fashion, its art director, Warren “Woz” Jackson, let’s us in on his first sexually charged encounter with a vagina as a young, well, lad. There’s even a picture of the tent where petting took place. Nice!
